What are ILLUMINIQUE candles made from?
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using natural soy wax, pure essential oils and cotton wicks.
Why do you use soy wax instead of paraffin wax?
We choose soy wax because it is a plant-based wax made from soybeans, while paraffin wax is derived from petroleum. Soy wax also burns more slowly and at a lower temperature, helping you enjoy your candle for longer when it is cared for correctly.
What are pure essential oils?
Essential oils are naturally derived aromatic oils extracted from botanicals such as fruits, flowers, herbs, leaves and plants. Depending on the botanical, the oils may be obtained through methods such as steam distillation or cold pressing.
Do you use fragrance oils?
No. Our candles are scented using pure essential oils rather than conventional fragrance oils. Fragrance oils are typically formulated in a laboratory and may contain synthetic fragrance ingredients. Essential oils are derived from natural botanical sources, giving our candles a more natural scent experience.
Are your candles handmade?
Yes. Every ILLUMINIQUE candle is carefully hand-poured in small batches.
What are your home décor pieces made from?
Our home décor pieces are handmade using an eco-conscious, stone-based material that contains no volatile organic compounds, also known as VOCs. Each piece is individually poured, finished and sealed by hand. Small variations in colour, texture and pattern may naturally occur, making every piece beautifully unique.
How can I use your home decor pieces?
Our home décor pieces are designed to be both beautiful and practical. They are heat-resistant and suitable for serving dry foods, as well as displaying candles, jewellery, perfumes and other decorative items. Please refer to the individual product description for guidance on the intended use of each piece.
Are your home décor pieces waterproof?
Our pieces are not fully waterproof, but they are sealed and safe to wash gently by hand. Clean them using warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge, then dry them thoroughly. Avoid soaking them for long periods or placing them in the dishwasher.
Do you offer candle refills?
Yes. Our candle refills are designed to fit selected ILLUMINIQUE vessels, allowing you to reuse and enjoy your candle pot again. Please check the product description before purchasing to ensure the refill is suitable for your vessel.
Can I reuse my candle vessel?
Yes. Once the candle has finished, the vessel can be cleaned and reused with a compatible ILLUMINIQUE refill. It can also be repurposed as a decorative pot or storage piece in your home.
How long will my candle burn?
Burn time varies depending on the candle size, the environment and how the candle is cared for. For the best results, trim the wick before every use and allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface during the first burn.
How should I care for my candle?
